Where Things Stand — A Work in Progress
April 19th, 2026
There’s a point in any process where things stop feeling like ideas and start becoming something real.
That’s where everything sits right now.
The Mark of Sin has passed through the hands of a professional editor. After years of building, rewriting, and refining, it’s no longer just something I’ve been working on—it’s something moving forward. Not finished, not rushed, but being shaped into what it’s meant to be.
At the same time, Raw Is Not Soft is moving toward its own release. That collection has taken a different path—more immediate, more personal—and is on track for a fall to winter launch.
Both projects exist in very different spaces, but they come from the same place: a need to understand, to question, and to create something that actually connects.
The process hasn’t been clean. It hasn’t been quick. Most of it has happened in pieces—late nights, rewritten pages, ideas that didn’t work, and others that stayed longer than expected. But that’s part of it. Not everything is meant to be perfect the first time. Some things take time to become clear.
Right now isn’t the end of anything. It’s just the point where things begin to take form in a way they haven’t before.
There’s more coming. It’s just a matter of letting it get there.
All my sharp edges,
L.K. Tanner
